Quick Preview: Theresa and Neil

Man what a weekend filled with photography. After attending "Music Speaks" on Friday night, my and my partner IshMelly decided to squeeze one more photoshoot in. Melly wanted to do a couples type photoshoot and we both agreed to try a night session to get some new looks. Only problem was that we didn't have a couple... so in comes Theresa and Neil who responded to my facebook message. I hadn't seen Theresa in a while so it was a good opportunity to catch up. As for the shoot? It went great and we all had a lot of fun. Here's a quick preview.

Music Speaks

So last Friday, me and my partner IshMelly had the privilege to attend and photograph "AJ Rafael Presents: Music Speaks". It was a benefit project to promote and spread awareness of Autism, something close to heart for AJ. Along with AJ Rafael, there were a host of numerous talented acts, many of whom are highly recognized youtube sensations. The project was two nights, but because of prior engagements I could only take part of the first night. The first night included many artists and performers including: Derek Portea, JR Aquino, New Like Us, MoVal Concert Chorale (MVCC), AJ Rafael Band, and Gabe Bondoc. Also performing were two of my close friends: Jennifer Chung and Quest Dance Crew (MTV's ABDC). All in all, it was a great turnout and all the artists and performers put on an amazing show. It's crazy to see so many talented people at such a young age.

So the other week, I had the pleasure to take a small part in Kris Mark's new music video, "Who Is She", being produced by Scott Yoshimoto of MOVeMEDIA productions. I have a small cameo in the video so when it comes out, be on the look out for me!

Preview: Collaboration Project... JChung, Steppie, IshMelly!

So another photography project with new techniques involved. Yesterday, I did a photoshoot for Jennifer Chung's new t-shirts that were designed by Steppie. I was asked to this my JChung a few days ago and decided to enlist some help with my fellow photography friend, IshMelly. It was definitely a really fun shoot and challenging. It was my first time really using my strobe in a photoshoot, so it was definitely a good learning opportunity. Anyways, here's a sneak peak at of the shirts and the shoot.

SF Trip

So the other week I flew up to San Fran to go visit Aimee. It was a quick 1hr flight on Virgin America, and I must say Virgin looks dope from the inside. It's a smaller type plane but very comfortable though. Got to SF and the first night had sushi with Aimee, her brother and Bianca. Aimee and I ordered way too much sushi. The next day was all sightseeing and Aimee drove me around with her trusted GPS. We ended up visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, Discovery Center?. We also went to Twin Peaks, however, by the time we got up there it was really foggy and it started to sprinkle so we couldn't see anything. Needless to say, Aimee was sad bout that. Ended up driving back with her the next day, and man is that ride down long. All in all, I had a great time up in San Fran and Vallejo.

Surfers vs 30ft Waves

So about a week and a half ago, IshMelly invited me to go out to the Wedge in Balboa to shoot some surfing. Seeing as how I haven't shot surfing before, I went with her and some friends. This would also mark the first time I would take out the Nikon D300 that I got from Louis over at Tikko Studios. When we got there, there was already a massive crowd of people just around the shore watching the surfers and body boarders take on some massive waves that got up to as high as about 30ft.
